Oh, balls.

I was just reading rumors about Alien 5.
Which made me happy.
Then my hopes of happy fun Alien glee got crushed beneath the feet of the fox. Because of that fun and happy AVP movie. Why am I angsty about it? As I liked AVP for the most part. but.. but.. James Cameron lost interest in working on Alien 5 because of AVP. JAMES CAMERON! WAS COMING BACK TO DEVELOP THE FIFTH FILM!

I AM SO FULL OF ANGST!
Imma go home tonight and watch me some alien flicks and hugga my plushie alien!

But i haven't found the plushie predator anywhere in stock =(

plushie predator, like any Predator, is love...i think somebody stoleded mine a while back. that or he's out hunting and will someday return to me, which i prefer to believe. =[

Gotta admit - enjoyed the AvP movies. But in light of the fact that James Cameron was going to do A5 and now he won't because of them? Ouch. Just ouch.

he likes the AVP movies and feels like they are carrying the franchise now, so instead of him doing a movie he's just letting the others do it for him? If that makes sense. But he compared it to the the wolfman meets dracula.. you just can't go back to just a regular franchise after that.

Yeah, can't honestly think of any area he could cover that wouldn't have at least been partially started or covered in one of the Aliens films or the pair of AvP films.

I can tell you what he would have covered!

We would have seen the homeworld of the derelict ship in the first movie! It would have gone full circle on the origin of the aliens/the ship!
